In total OSTL has over 15 years of optics industry experience, with in-depth knowledge of optical assistant level 2 and optometry and extensive experience with employers. It is the first independent optical assistant apprenticeship training provider.

OSTL has experience with working with:
  • the Institute of Apprenticeship Technical Education (IfATE) – in the delivery of the Occupational Specialism content
  • NCFE Awarding Organisation – in content development and assessment writing
  • Pendle Education Trust – working with multi-body organisation

Our aim is to create the ambition and passion for students to enter the optics industry and become future trailblazers. In particular, our affiliation with the BAME Apprenticeship Network indicates our drive to ensure all sectors of society have equal and fair opportunities.
